SpecBio^® Propanediol natural is 1,3-Propanediol, a natural, skin-friendly preservative boosting humectant for all kinds of formulations. It is made through fermentation with

renewable biobased material and has excellent sensory characteristics & is environmentally sustainable. It has functions as below:

➢ Can be used to replace petroleum-based glycols such as propylene glycol, butylene glycol or glycerin in formulations

➢ Acts as humectant, emollient, skin penetration enhancer and solvent

SpecBio^® Propanediol natural can be recommended to use as humectant, emollient, skin penetration enhancer, thickener and solvent in cosmetics.

Application:

Skin care, body care, sun care, solvent: such as toner, serum, cream, lotion, gel, shampoo, conditioner, etc.

 

Recommended dosage:

1.0 - 10.0%, up to 40.0%

Usage:

Easily soluble in water, miscible in ethanol and ether.

Add to the water phase of formulations.

 

Storage:

Store at room temperature. Keep in dry and ventilated place with containers sealed under nitrogen, away from light.

 

Shelf life:

2 years (unopened original container)

Note: Shelf life 24 months after production date. After opening, minimize contact with air. Purge container vapor space with nitrogen gas and seal tightly after use to maintain quality.
